USSSA Baseball Announces New Partnership with B.E.S.T

In November 2008 Baseball's Elite Summer Teams (B.E.S.T.) entered a new partnership with the leading youth travel baseball organization in the nation - United States Specialty Sports Association (USSSA). The new association will move the two groups into the forefront of 14U to 18U showcase tournaments, showcases and into international competition starting in the summer of 2009. More will be announced in the near future. Elite World Series News

The Elite World Series will expand in 2009 to 32 teams in each age group 9-14 and go from a 4 game guarantee to a 5 game guarantee. There will also be new Super NIT's around the country. For the first time, the Elite World Series will be split over two seperate weeks. Even ages (10,12,14) will play the week of 7/12-19 and Odd ages (9,11,13) will play the week of 8/2-9.

Again in 2009, the winners of the Elite World Series in the 10's and 12's, will qualifiy to represent USSSA at the National Youth Championship in August.

New Team Insurance for the 2009 season

 Beginning August 1, 2008 teams can now purchase team insurance for the 2009 season that will give the team coverage for the entire season. Coverage will last from 8/1/08 thru 7/31/09. Teams may still purchase insurance for fall only at 1/2 price.

The T-Rex Club

The T-Rex Club is designed for 4-8 year olds, parents and coaches. The T-Rex Club will offer educational articles to help parents get their sons and daughters started in T-ball along with content that is entertaining for the young players.
